Step 2: Purée

You have the option to let the vegetable cool to avoid the steam. Use the blender of your choice to fully puree the vegetable until it is silky smooth. If it is too thick, add small amounts of water until reaching desired consistency.

As baby gets older, you will reduce the puree so that it becomes chunkier and chunkier. Baby’s first bites should be as smooth as possible and then add more texture in the following weeks.
